A few days ago I wrote about the 50% off Avios redemption sale at British Airways. The sale is also available through the Avios website. Iberia also use Avios and have launched their own sale.
The sale at Iberia is 35% off Avios Redemption. This is less than the 50% offer from the BA Avios sale. However, taxes on Iberia are substantially lower than taxes on British Airways. If flights departing to and returning from London were participating then this sale would top the BA Avios sale. But the sale only applies to flights departing to or returning from Madrid, and to specific destinations.

Verdict
If your next destination is to Madrid or from Madrid then this is a very good deal. Taxes are substantially less than British Airways and you have the ease of transferring your Avios between British Airways Executive, Iberia Plus and Avios accounts.
If you’re going to take advantage of this promotion and you have status in another loyalty program then I recommend that you do a status match to make your travels more comfortable. I previously wrote a post about some of the benefit I enjoy with status.
